About Stackwrite
Stackwrite is a resource hub for developers and indie makers who want to ship faster with AI. I cover AI coding tools, vibe coding workflows, open-source alternatives, and app development strategies — all tested hands-on, with real numbers.
Who writes this?
I'm Hirak Banerjee — a software developer and indie maker based in Canada. I build apps (like DayDrop, an iOS countdown widget app), write about the tools I actually use, and share what I learn along the way.
Before going indie, I worked at TCS building enterprise software. Now I spend my days writing Swift, shipping side projects, and testing every AI coding tool I can get my hands on.
What you'll find here
- Honest tool comparisons — Claude Code vs Cursor vs Copilot, tested on the same project with real metrics
- AI coding techniques — MCP servers, vibe coding workflows, prompt engineering for code generation
- Open-source finds — GitHub repos that replace paid tools, free developer credits, and hidden gems
- App development — iOS, Android, and cross-platform development tips from someone who ships
The rules
Every tool reviewed on Stackwrite has been actually tested. No "top 10 tools I've never used" listicles. When I compare tools, I use the same project and measure real results. When I recommend something, it's because I use it myself.
